The Adventure Outpost
Welcome.
If you are reading this, you are probably in the middle of planning something. A trip. A purchase. A setup. Or maybe you are just trying to make sense of all the advice you have saved and half forgotten.
I felt the same way. Good information was everywhere, but never in one place. The things that actually mattered were buried in videos I could not find again, comments without context, or reviews written for clicks instead of real use. It made simple decisions harder than they needed to be.
That is why this place exists.
Think of this as a basecamp. Not a feed. Not a storefront. Just a place to stop, get oriented, and compare notes before heading back out. A place where lessons do not disappear once the next post comes along.
Most of what you will find here comes from time spent with Rivian vehicles. Living with them. Driving them long distances. Taking them down dirt roads. Loading them with gear, dogs, family, and sometimes the wrong ideas. That experience shapes what is written here. Over time, this may expand to other adventure vehicles, but only when there is enough real use to be honest about what works and what does not.
The gear and guides here are not meant to impress anyone. If something is recommended, it is because it earned that spot through use. Some notes are long. Some are short. All of them are here to help you make a clearer decision and avoid repeating mistakes someone else already made.
This place works best when people share what they have learned. A small detail. A better setup. A lesson learned the hard way. When that knowledge stays accessible, everyone benefits. Newcomers get up to speed faster. Experienced owners save time and money. Good work lasts longer than an algorithm cycle.
You do not need to read everything. You do not need to keep up. Use what helps. Come back when you need it. If you have something worth leaving behind for the next person, even better.
That is how an outpost works.
I am glad you are here.
